The blue dots indicate effect potency. The first effect on an ingredient is the most potent, the second effect less so, on through the fourth. The saturation of the indicator lets you know how potent an effect will be.
If there are two effects, the first dot corresponds to the first effect listed, and the second dot to the second effect listed.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: There are much higher rates of variation in the resulting potions than vanilla alchemy. Play around with the most expensive ingredients and the most potent ingredients.
